Freezing our butts off here on the eastern shore of Maryland. Very COLD and WINDY with wind chills in the upper 20's. Can't wait to return to the warmth.

 got back from the hot dog/hamburger roast at the fire pit. A good time was had by all in spite of the wind and cold. the food was great, the people were great and the fire was wonderful. thank you bob and all of your helpers. so sorry about the weather but it was fun anyway.

You are certainly a very generous community!! Thank you so much for your donations to the Christmas Food Drive!! In such a short time you sent in just as much as at Thanksgiving!! It proves how big your hearts are in giving to others less fortunate! Angel Attic was very surprised and thankful as was Mary and Martha House N St. Vincent de Paul!! We are proud to be a part of such a caring community!!

 The January newsletter deadline has been moved forward by a week. The date is now Friday, December 28th. Get those articles in for the first edition of 2013. Sorry about any inconvenience this may cause. I've been too wrapped up in doctors and tests to pay attention to the publication.

 Just looked back to the beginning of this message board, all 158 pages...... The pictures, The memories, The hair styles and colors!!!! A lot of great people have past thru Chulavista and became part of a Family...Remembering those who have past, You always live in our hearts. Looking at grand-kids growing up over the years, How big they have gotten. Kicking up our heels in the clubhouse, It has seen a lot of events, Wedding, Anniversaries, Birthday, Celebration of life. Plus so much more. Tell your loved ones and Friends just how much they mean to you, because we never know when we will talk to them or hold them again!. It is time for our Christmas Food Drive. It seems like only yesterday we had one for Thanksgiving. But the need in Ruskin is great! We helped to feed over 600 families in November! Volunteers will come around Tues, Dec.18th to collect donations of canned goods, non- perishable items or money we put toward turkeys, ham and sundries. We will pack it on Thurs Dec 20th at 2pm at lot 293. If you can help with pick up, packing or delivering let us know!! Drop off spots are 1704 Moonraker or 1863 Gangway Loop.
Chula was so generous at Thanksgiving, can we do it again?

Just got back from the ladies luncheon. a good time was had by all. a big thank you to Carol, Linda, and Jensie for hosting the luncheon and preparing the delicious soups. And a big thank you to Larry, Steve, and Bob for serving the soups. It was a lovely afternoon with lots of memories. Thank you again.
