Happy Summer!! I know the calendar doesn’t say that yet, but the weather sure does!
Please join us in welcoming the newest members of our little family. Philip and Jan Nielsen, from Virginia, have purchased the home at Lot 222 from Ed Seplavy. They have a little dog named Lil. Philip, Jan, and Lil will be seasonal residents.
We are still looking for someone to take over the website. It does not have to be a single person; one could take pictures and post them, another could manage the calendar and pages. Please see Renee if you can help with this, she needs to have a break.
There is a rule missing from the sign at the pool. By law, no pool furniture or other items can be within four (4) feet of the edge of the pool. Also, the jets in the pool are for circulation. In order for the chemicals to circulate properly, and the robot to function as it should, the jets MUST be left in certain positions. DO NOT MOVE THEM! The pool is not a Jacuzzi! Please make sure your guests are aware of these things as well.
Speaking of guests, please do not put them in a position of being asked to leave the pool. We have had to do so recently, twice. The poor guests did nothing wrong, but their hosts had not registered them. Remember, only registered guests are allowed to use the facilities, including the pool. Registration forms can be found at both the rec hall and the clubhouse, in acrylic wall pockets by the doors. After filling it out please drop it in the office mail slot if it is beyond office hours. Email works as well: cvlandings1@yahoo.com. You can also register a guest by phone, as long as you do so weekdays during the day. Please remember that the office phone rings into the manager’s apartment, and be respectful of our personal time.
We have recently seen some trees being planted without consulting management. This is a rules violation. Unfortunately, some were of a type that is not allowed, either by the community owner or by the county; either due to being an invasive species or having invasive roots. They have been or will be removed. On the flip side, two residents have been observed removing plants that have been planted, one of quite a large size. This is also a rules violation, as once planted they belong to the park. Please refer to Exhibit B, the Rules and Regulations, Section B, Paragraph 1.
Please remember that the office hours change from May through October. The change will begin Monday, May 5, as the 1st is on a Thursday. The hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 AM to 11 AM, Thursday 4 PM to 6 PM.
Speaking of hours, I goofed on the summer times for Hot Dog Tuesday in the directory. The correct times are 11 AM to 12:30 PM.
I can’t tell you how pleased we are about the number of people taking advantage of the vinyl siding rebate. It makes such a difference in the appearance of the homes, and the whole community. In fact, the owners are so pleased, and the installers so backed up, that they have decided to extend the 50% rebate. We will give you a 30 day notice of the end of the program. Please don’t forget that the colors have to be approved by management, the same as paint colors.
Remember that in the summer if you want to host an event all you have to do is check the calendar at the clubhouse, on the sign up shelf on the porch. If nothing is scheduled, just write it in and put up a notice on the bulletin board.

 The 1st edition of the summer newsletter can be found at the clubhouse. Look to the left as you go in the main door to find a box of newsletter. There is no summer delivery. Also, the July-August newsletter deadline is scheduled for June 27th. Be sure to get your articles to me by that date so they will be included in the next edition. Thanks.

Had a good time at the 1at annual Derby party, wasn't heavily attended, but was a fun day, for the first one thought it was a success. Food was good and big screen race was great, although my horse didn't win. I'm always for the under dog, lol. People seemed to enjoy the music. Thanks Bob and Randy for a good time.

 Arrived safely home this afternoon, a pleasant drive actually, saw many overturned tractor trailers though on highway 90 from Erie to Buffalo! The winds the night before were obviously very strong!! Now to get to work here. The yard is a mess but NO SNOW! Missing Chula and my babies already!!

Thank you so much you dear family at Chula for your generosity in the Spring Food Drive!! We had a greater donation this spring than last year's Christmas Season. Marita and I shopped for Easter specials for the children at Mary Martha House. We divided food contributions between Mary Martha House ans Angel Attic.
